Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland 2019
Kercon Construction held a Christmas Jumper Day Fundraiser in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland. We got the gang together in our Head Office for some tea and treats, and with a great effort we raised a fantastic €670 for MS Ireland.
We are delighted to have raised this sum and it was a great reason for us all to get together before the Christmas Holidays.

19 New Social Housing Units officially handed over in North Kildare
A new social housing project was opened in Kildare this afternoon, as Kilcock became home to the latest development.
19 homes were handed over to the council, and Mayor of Kildare, Councillor Martin Miley, together with Cathaoirleach of Maynooth Municipal District, Councillor Paul Ward and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Deputy Damien English, were on hand to officially open ‘The Paddocks’ today in Kilcock.
“While this is the first development constructed by Kildare County Council in a number of years, there are many more homes in the pipeline which will be delivered under the current housing delivery programme,” stated Mayor Miley on the completion of the new homes.
Kildare County Council signed contracts with Kercon Construction of Donaghpatrick, Navan, Co Meath in November 2016 for the construction of a social housing scheme at The Paddocks. The contractor commenced on site for the development of nineteen houses which comprises of seven two-bed units, eight three-bed units and four four-bed units in December 2016. Six of the 19 homes were handed over before Christmas 2017, with the remaining thirteen homes delivered in mid-February 2018. The project was funded by the Government under the Rebuilding Ireland programme.
Kildare County Council’s Chief Executive, Mr Peter Carey, welcomed the delivery of 19 social homes in Kilcock, noting that “the construction of new homes by local authorities will play a key part in meeting delivery targets under the Rebuilding Ireland programme”. Mr Carey thanked the contractor for the efficient delivery of the houses and also acknowledged that this development was much needed in Kilcock.
