Health & Safety Policy
Kercon Construction are committed to the continuous improvement of the safety, heath and welfare of all our employees, contractors and visitors, in so far as reasonably possible.
In 2018, Kercon Construction were awarded the 'A' Grade Safe-T-Certificate for the third year in a row, the highest grade available in relation to the implementation of our tailored Health and Safety Management System across all our sites. We have been externally audited by Safe-T-Cert and proving compliance on an annual basis since 2012.
Safe-T-Cert is a certification scheme designed for certifying the Safety Management Systems of contractors working in the Construction industry.
We plan, set up and manage our sites with the safety of our staff, subcontractors and the public at front of mind. We understand that in order to eliminate accidents, the key element is a persons behavior towards health and safety. We ensure everyone completes an induction before they start work on site and engage them in our processes and beliefs towards health and safety. We ask all personnel to put the safety of their colleagues first.
Kercon Construction provide the necessary resources, structures and procedures that are required to safeguard against risks that may arise from activities in the workplace.
Each employee of Kercon Construction has the responsibility to follow safe work practices and to have a genuine concern for the safety, health and welfare of all persons involved. All sub-contractors working with Kercon Construction have a responsibility to meet the same standards.
It is the policy of Kercon Construction to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
